This soreness could very well be related to the adjustments and the fact that it would cause me to carry myself differently, thus using all of those little muscles in new ways. It could also be my ever-increasing girth pulling me forward and forcing my back to compensate, keeping me from face-planting every time I stand up. Finally, it could be from the ridiculous sleep positions that I've had to adopt, which are not sleep inducing.
Whatever the cause...ugh. But, this too shall pass.
Anyone have any pregnancy-friendly suggestions?
Whatever the reason I wish it would go away. I'm giving chiropractic a real try here and not just writing it off. But, if the sore, stiff feeling keeps persisting I may have to reconsider.

Oh gosh, I feel for you! I had sciatic nerve pain when I was preggers, too. I never knew what it was until I was between 4-5 months pregnant. I hated that! It felt like I had just pulled a muscle so it was frustrating when I couldn't just stretch it out. The good news is that it actually went away as I got closer to the 3rd tri and was completely gone after I gave birth. As far as remedies the thing that helped most was just using a body pillow at night and for me, standing was actually less painful than sitting (but it might now be the case for everyone). If you're the medicating type (I fully admit, I am :( a little tylenol on really bad days did help. I hope it goes away soon my dear! Ciro's claim they can make it go away, snap snap, but I am a little skeptical. Who knows, maybe they can.
P.S. Is he kicking around in there like crazy yet? I really miss that part about being pregant!
Oh my gosh, Mandy. I just have to share that the word verification for my last comment was FECES!! Lol! :P Gross!
I'm not one for internet shorthand...but LOL. Those word verifications are so random and weird. I'm still chuckling.
I'm really not sure if the chiropractic is doing the trick or if the sciatica has decided to go away at this point. I have one more session with him and then we're doing an "as needed" thing...so I might not need it after that. :)
Yes, he is moving around a lot! But it's stopped being sharp kicks and now it's the weird pressure. Like he's stretching out and pushing across my belly. It's the strangest feeling ever. :)
